Code of Conduct

All dancers and parents are expected to understand and adhere to the following code of conduct and regulations:

  • Placement of students will be decided by the Directors. Placement is dependent upon class size and dancer's ability. Registrations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

  • Maples Academy of Dance reserves the right to cancel any classes due to lack of enrollment.

  • Students are required to come to class in the appropriate attire and footwear as outlined in the dress code.  Students who do not come to class wearing appropriate attire will be asked to sit out at the discretion of the teacher.

  • Parents are allowed to watch classes only during open rehearsals at the discretion of the instructor and studio Directors.

  • Teachers are not to be addressed by parents during a class.  During class, the teachers focus should be on the students.  

  • No drinks, food, gum or candy allowed in the studios.  Water bottles are permitted.

  • Help keep the studios, lobby, change room and bathrooms clean.

  • If students/parents have any questions and/or concerns with the teachers, please meet with the Directors.

  • If a student is unable to attend any class, please call the studio prior to the start of that class.

  • Name calling, bullying, profane language, profane apparel, and disrespectful attitudes or comments are strictly prohibited.

  • Have a positive attitude.

  • HAVE FUN!

Any parent or student creating conflicts or making derogatory comments towards other parents, students or teachers will result in the student being removed from class permanently.
