We hope everyone has had a great break so far, with time to relax and to celebrate the season with family and friends. 2020 is here and we can’t wait for more dance-filled fun! We kick off 2020 with our annual Team Night Out Fundraiser. Don’t miss out on this fun event – tickets are available until 9pm on January 6th. Email the studio today if you need tickets! More information on Team Night Out is available further in the enews. As we head in to the second half of the dance season, dancers will begin preparing for recital. Recital details will be available in the coming weeks and will be sent out via email, as well as posted on our website. Stay tuned! Reminder that fees are due on the first class back for all dance families on the Monthly and Term payment plans. Fees can be paid by cash, cheque, or credit card in the studio office. Team Night Out
Team Night Out is on January 10, 2020 at Essence at Canadinns Garden City. This all-ages event is a great way to get out and have some fun with your dance family and friends from Maples Academy of Dance, all while supporting the Performance Team. Tickets to the event are $20 and include a pizza, pasta, and salad dinner. There will also be a 50/50 draw and prize auction. Tickets are available from the studio office or from Performance Team members and can be paid for by cash or cheque only.
Recital 2020
Recital 2020 may still be months away, but planning is well under way. We’ll be having two shows this year at the Seven Oaks Performing Arts Centre (at Garden City Collegiate). We’re working on recital packages and details, and will have those available in the coming weeks. These packages will help explain what show your dancer is in, the times for rehearsals and show times, ticket prices, and all the other little details you need to help your superstar shine at recital. We will email out details and post them on our website as soon as they are finalized. Reminder that Recital Weekend is June 13-14, 2020.
Performance Team
January is the time for our Performance Team to really rev their engines in preparation for the upcoming competition season. Remember to double check the calendar for your practice schedules. Performance Team Fees are now up-to-date with all fundraisers tracked (except) for Team Night Out. Our Five Guys fundraiser earned $420 for the team, and as always, Tupperware, Cheese, Mom’s Pantry, and Norwex were a great success too. Once we complete Team Night Out, final Invoices will be emailed and are due paid by January 18, 2020. You can pay them online or in the studio office. Additional team news was emailed out in the January Team Update. Please double check your email for details.
Costumes
Recital costumes have started to arrive and will continue to come in over the coming months. Dancers will have the opportunity to try on their costumes when they arrive, however costumes will not go home until the spring, once all costumes are in and sorted. We know costume time is exciting, but please refrain from touching the costumes that have been sorted in the boxes in the office.

Fees Due
Reminder to all dance families on the monthly installment payment plan, your fees are due on the first class of the month. For dance families on the term installment plan, your term 2 payment is now due. Fees can be paid in the office by cash, cheque or credit card. A $5 late fee will be applied to all late monthly or term payments.
